Whether you’re living in a multi-family building, attending a meeting in an office conference room, or staying in a hotel room while on vacation, an influx of unwanted sound can affect each of us in a variety of different ways, ranging from a mild distraction to a major disruption. ​

• Not all sound is created equal.
  Sometimes we are concerned with hearing speech from an adjoining space. For such airborne sounds, Sound Transmission Class (STC) testing would be performed. ​
• Other times, we are concerned about impact sounds coming through a floor or ceiling, such as weights in a gym, pump motors, or people walking. For such structure-borne sounds, Impact Insulation Class (IIC) testing would be performed.​
• In some cases, we are concerned about the noise within the environment itself. For such ambient sounds, we would perform Noise Criteria (NC) testing.
